I was born in Caracas, Venezuela South America. I grew up learning the drums primarily self-taught by listening to
Drummer my early biggest influence: Rock. At the age of 18, as I developed a taste for more challenging progressive music, (influenced by musicians such as, Mike Portnoy and Neil Peart); I started taking classes with sever
al instructors including renowned Venezuelan teacher Luis Tomas Garcia.
I am a very keen, passionate and energetic drummer with 20 years experience in the field. I, Along with the
Venezuelan Rhythms hold an extensive repertoire inclusive of Tambor and Joropo, also Reggae, Ska, Latin, Jazz, Pop and Pro Rock music. I am highly influenced by musical icons such as Buddy Rich, Dave Weckl, Neil Peart and Mike Portnoy.
I began my professional career in Venezuela in 1998, by playing with many cover band, and trying different kind of rhythms. In 2001 I became part of an original Rock/Ska band called Skatz. In 2001 Skatz participated in the biggest music event competition in Venezuela (Festival Nuevas Bandas) where we shared stage with recognized, Grammy winners Latin-American musicians: Juanes and Amigos Invisibles.
I moved to Australia in 2012, and almost immediately was casted as the Drummer of an Adelaide-based original band called The Irresponsibles, for over a year we played at different venues all over the country and recorded an EP and a music video (can be found in Youtube as: Black Sun-The Irresponsibles, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BK19KCiSTeY).
Joined the Zilli Cymbals in 2015.
